Hello! My name is Nicole, and I'm currently in college in hopes to become a future teacher. I've known I wanted to be a teacher since I was little, and I'm excited to make younger me's dreams come true. When I'm not in school, I like to spend my free time watching TV, playing video games, and going on nature walks with my dogs and boyfriend. I'm currently playing Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Cult of the Lamb. As for TV, I've been re-watching New Girl, Gilmore Girls, and I started watching Vinland Saga a little bit ago.
I'm no stranger to using technology in class, not just in college, but all throughout my educational career. Growing up, we would play games of kahoot, use quizlet to study, made use of power points for presentations and lessons, and learned by writing on a smart board. I'm very lucky to have been brought up in the digital age, as information was always available and just a few clicks away.
To this day, I still use some of the technologies/websites I learned about while in school. I regularly use canvas (as does all my classmates) for homework, lessons, and grades. I also still use chegg, quizlet, and kahoot to help me study for my classes. I love making power points too, I'll make a whole presentation just for fun to be honest. And now, I have a blog to keep up with, which I'm excited about. I'm a fan of writing (or in this case, typing) so I'm looking forward to what else I'll type about.

Hi Nicole! I'm Beau's Mom, Lisa. He wanted me to tell you that he thought your dog Mochi and Cody appear as if they are living their best lives just like he does. He is not sure why there is so much sand in both pictures. I had to explain that you were at the beach and there is a lot of sand there unlike in our yard.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to keep up you and your fellow Digital Natives. You have the benefit of growing up with the technology and that is great. I am trying to catch up with you as quickly as possible. Technology can be a lot of fun and is so much more efficient as tools for the classrooms.
I am following my dream of becoming a teacher just like you are. What an exciting time it will be when we both get our own classrooms for the first time!
I enjoyed your posts!!
